Geoffrey Louis Mako

Raconteur extraordinaire, Geoffrey Louis Mako, 58, of Shamokin, Pa., has passed away. He graduated from Westfield High School in 1977, son of Elias Robert and Leona Glen Mako. Geof's dynamic personality and perseverance and business acumen allowed him to easily lead as sales anager of Applied Wood Products. After the wood business, he managed his various properties in Shamokin, Pa., pridefully offering well appointed apartments and houses for rent. Geof is survived by his mother; brothers, Elias (Chip), Emery, Chris, and his son, Geoffrey. His outgoing, friendly and entertaining personality will be sorely missed by those who had the good fortune of knowing him. In his honor, a service will be held Saturday July 1, 2017 at the VFW, 261 E. Shamokin St., Trevorton, Pa. 17881 from 1 to 8 p.m.; all are welcome. A celebration of his life will be held on July 4 at the Mako farm in Staffordsville, Va.
