Robert F. McDonough, 50, of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Roxbury, N.Y. died on Sunday, January 3, 2010, in Roxbury. A Westfield native, he graduated from Westfield High School, Class of 1977. He also graduated from Princeton University, magna cum laude, and from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review. Robert’s legal career was devoted primarily to representing domestic and global investment banks. He was employed by several different financial institutions and with the law firms of Kaye Scholer and of Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft. At the time of his passing, he was the New York representative of the Kansas City law firm of Polsinelli Shugart. Surviving are his wife, Cara; his two children, Schuyler, 11, and Gavin, 8; his parents, Joan and Robert McDonough of Monmouth Beach, N.J.; his six siblings, Mrs. Kathleen McDonough Worley of Lancaster, Pa., Ms. Eileen McDonough of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Mary Cummings of Summit, N.J., Matthew S. McDonough of Mendham, N.J., Paul McDonough of Gava, Spain, and Michael McDonough of Randolph, N.J., and 15 nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were by Heights and Hill of Brooklyn, N.Y.
